Activity 2 - Periodic Table of Elements

What is Atomic Mass?
- The mass of an atom of a chemical element expressed in atomic mass units. It is the sum of the number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus of an atom.

What is a dozen?
- A dozen is another word for the number 12. A grouping of 12 items or units.

What is a case?
- a word that means 24 or 2 dozen

What is a gross?
- A dozen dozens. 144

What is a mole?
- Avagadro's number of atoms, about 6.02 x 10^23 atoms.

How many planet earth's are needed to have a mole of people?
- Planet has 6 x 10^9 people and a mole is 6.02 x 10^23
 X x 6x10^9 = 6.02 x 10^23
X = 6x10^9
1x10^14 = 1,000,000,000,000,000
